Perth’s waterfront is set to host a vibrant showcase of community and heritage as the Perth Multicultural Festival takes place at Elizabeth Quay. Hosted over two evenings, the free event brings together music, dance, traditional food, and family-friendly activities from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm each night.
Event Highlights
- Floating Stage Performances: A diverse lineup featuring 10 cultural groups—including representatives from Brazil, Burundi, China, Germany, Hungary, India, Japan, Mexico, South Sudan, Thailand, and Noongar Dancers—performing live on the water.
- Celebrity Hosts: The event is co-emceed by media personalities Ernie Dingo and Tina Altieri.
- Grand Finale & Fireworks: A stage finale featuring an original soundtrack by Noongar singer-songwriter Phil Walleystack, culminating in a fireworks display over the quay.
- Family Activities & Stalls: Interactive workshops for kids, cultural displays, artisan stalls, and food trucks serving international cuisine.
Attendees are encouraged to wear traditional attire to join in the festive atmosphere.
