Sydney’s ultimate celebration of Italian culture is back. Ferragosto is taking over Five Dock for a massive one-day street party filled with authentic regional food, live entertainment, and family-friendly fun.
What started in the late 1990s as a modest neighborhood gathering has transformed into a cornerstone of Sydney’s cultural scene, drawing tens of thousands of visitors from across the city. Great North Road will come alive with vibrant stalls, delicious aromas, and non-stop entertainment.
What to Expect at Ferragosto
- Food & Artisans: Over 150 stalls will line the streets, serving handmade Italian classics like wood-fired pizza, fresh pasta, gnocchi, arancini, crisp cannoli, and gelato. Celebrity chefs will also run live cooking demonstrations throughout the day.
- Live Entertainment: Five stages will host live music, cultural performances, and roaming street artists keeping the energy high from morning to afternoon.
- Family Activities: Kids can enjoy free carnival rides and a petting zoo, making it a great day out for all ages.
- Terrazza Aperol: Adults looking for a relaxed spot can head to Garfield Street for cold Aperol Spritzes and antipasti boards in an open-air lounge.
