Upcoming Events: NAIDOC Week 2026

This 5 July to 12 July the upcoming event s of NAIDOC week will be officially be celebrating 50 years deadly. This Event is held every year to celebrate and elevate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices, culture and resilience.

Across Sydney, NAIDOC Week will bring people together through cultural performances, art exhibitions, workshops, storytelling, community gatherings and educational events.

The theme pays tribute to the Elders, activists, artists and community leaders who have shaped the NAIDOC movement and helped amplify First Nations voices over the past 50 years.

As one of Australia’s most diverse and vibrant cities, Sydney provides a unique opportunity for residents and visitors to engage with the rich cultures of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation and other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

NAIDOC Week encourages all Australians to learn, reflect and celebrate the world’s oldest continuing cultures. The 2026 celebrations are not only a recognition of past achievements but also a call to support future generations.
